LHA Scholarship

LHA scholarships are available for students from Kindergarten – 8th grade. A scholarship application must be completed online through Parent Locker along with the supporting documents requested. All tuition assistance requests are treated with the utmost confidentiality. Applications to a School Choice option if you are eligible, are a requirement in order to receive a further scholarship.

School Choice Options

Step Up For Students is a state-approved nonprofit program that helps administer four scholarships for Florida schoolchildren K – High School:
1) The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC) is income based.
2) The Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES) for students with unique abilities (formerly Gardiner).
3) The Hope Scholarship for public school students who are bullied or victims of violence and as such are applying to a private school.
4) The Reading Scholarship Accounts for public school students in third through fifth grade who struggle with reading.

Voluntary Prekindergarten

Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program (VPK) is a free educational program (regardless of family income) that prepares 4-year-olds for Kindergarten and beyond. Children must live in Florida and be 4 on or before September 1 of the school year they enroll.

Florida AAA Scholarship Program

AAA administers two state-approved scholarship programs: FTC Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (income based) and FES Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (learning or other needs based). These are the same grants as Step Up for Students with a slightly different application process.
